Power of Ten

Are you ready to make a lasting impact on the veterinary profession?

The Power of 10 program is designed to help you find success in and outside of your veterinary career.

The Power of Ten (P10) program is a national initiative put forward by state VMAs meant to foster networking, provide professional development opportunities, and give new graduate vets access to and awareness of the various resources at their disposal here in Kentucky.

This program is aimed at veterinarians who graduated veterinary school between 2015 and 2025.

I am originally from Mayfield, KY, and I moved to the Lexington area in December of 2022. I graduated from Auburn University CVM in May 2021, and am currently a small animal associate veterinarian in Georgetown, KY.

I found the KVMA Power of Ten program while looking for ways as a new graduate to get involved with the KVMA, and it has been such an incredible introduction to organized veterinary medicine. I’ve made wonderful friends, watched up close how KVMA works for veterinarians, and learned ways to advocate for myself as a young associate. Come join us this year!

Katherine Armstrong, DVM — P10 Co-Chair

Dr. Christine Bartley is a native of Wichita, Kansas. She attended Kansas State University for both her undergraduate and veterinary medicine degrees. After graduation, she pursued an ambulatory internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was invited to stay for four additional years at Rood and Riddle, serving as both a resident veterinarian for a prominent Thoroughbred farm and then an associate veterinarian. Dr. Bartley now co-operates River Valley Equine, an equine exclusive practice that serves the tri-state area of Northern Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. Her passions include mare reproduction and foal medicine.  Dr. Bartley looks forward to co-chairing the Power of Ten Leadership Class to work with the next generation of veterinarians.
