Biography: James Beckman is originally from southern Indiana and is a graduate
of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After traveling the
country working with horses, he and his beautiful wife moved back to the
Louisville, Kentucky area and opened their first practice Gas Light Equine. Seeing
a need to manage emergency calls in a better way, they also opened Bluegrass
Equine Emergency Service. Dr Beckman spends his days playing with horses
chasing his kids. Dr Beckman enjoys working with vet students so that they can
love equine practice as much as he does.

Dr. Taylor Marshall is a 2019 graduate of The Royal Veterinary College in London, England.
Her interests within veterinary medicine include FIP, ultrasonography, cytology and RECOVER initiative standard CPR. Since graduation she has worked at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists where she is the externship coordinator and also does relief work.
She is based in Louisville with her partner James and their two cats Zoë and Tamara. In her free time they enjoy exploring the world with its many foods and cultures. Her hobbies include DIY home improvements, craft food/beer, and cooking.
