Governor Beshear’s Updates On Rolling Out the Covid Vaccine

Today, Governor Beshear gave a press briefing with the latest updates to the roll out of the Covid vaccine. I wanted to be sure to send you as the veterinary community this information that will contain all the links that you will need moving forward. A few things to note: there was a change made to the phases, Veterinarians/Agriculture/All essential workers are in 1C. Teachers were moved to 1B as it has become a dire need to get students back to schools in person. Click this link for the most up to date phases.

A few things to note: The 1A phase in most counties are finished and onto their 1B phase. There are approximatley 100,000 persons in the 70+ age group that have been vaccinated with 400,000 more to go throughout the state.

Your County Health Department is still a very good source to contact as some counties are getting finished with their 1B phase sooner than others and you maybe able to schedule your vaccine sooner than these sites/links below. Also, remember that not all counties are allocated the same amount of vaccine, it is based on population size.
