Your KVMA Foundation is committed to improving the profession of veterinary medicine by educating the public and developing future leaders in animal industry through financial assistance.
Foundation Goals

The KVMA Foundation’s primary goals are:

Establish educational & scholarship funds for veterinary students, veterinarians, and other qualified individuals in the animal industry.

Provide grants and financial support for leadership conferences of 4/H, FFA and other allied groups.

Develop funding sources to sustain the Foundation and its activities

Here’s what we’ve been able to accomplish so far:

  • Assist veterinary organization in emergency relief efforts.
  • Donated to benefit the Kentucky Barn at Auburn University
  • Purchased the Don LaBore building – home of the KVMA Office
  • Provide gift cards to KY first year students
  • Provide White Coats to third year KY students at Auburn and Tuskegee Universities
  • MSU Dept of Juvenile Justice Greyhound Program
  • KY FFA State Convention sponsor
  • KY Young Farmers
  • KVMA Mid-America Conference

How can you support your KVMA Foundation?
You may become a Foundation Fellow, all donations are tax deductible and you will be recognized in our KVMA newsletter and at the KVMA Mid-America Conference.

Participate and/or sponsor the annual KVMA Foundation Annual Clay Shoot at Elk Creek Lodge. This is a fun way to network with your fellow colleagues.

Participate in the Foundation’s Sympathy Card Program, it offers a personal way to reach out to your clients in time of loss. Since 2004 there has been over $70,000 contributed to the KVMA Foundation.

Would your program like to be considered for a donation?
The KVMA Foundation’s Grant Program benefits many of our state’s non-profit groups. Grants are given throughout the state of Kentucky to deserving organizations. Proposals must be submitted through the KVMA. The yearly deadline for grant proposals is December 15th.
