DIRECTIVE to postpone all non-essential medical procedures

The Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners (KBVE) is issuing an update related to the COVID-19 response.

The Board has received disturbing reports of veterinary businesses operating as normal during this State of Emergency, in direct contravention of the recommendations issued from the Kentucky Governor, the KBVE, and the Department of Public Health.

Note that the Secretary for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) and the Department for Public Health (DPH), as empowered by Governor Andy Beshear under the current State of Emergency, signed a Directive mandating that all non-essential medical procedures and services be postponed effective March 18, 2020. You may also check the Board’s website www.kybve.com later this week for a new SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 informational page to see all the announcements from the Board, Kentucky Executives Orders and Directives relating to veterinary medicine, as well as multiple resources for your business during the current State of Emergency.
